The performing unit of NIKC made its debut in the year 1964 where a number of successful dance productions were choreographed by Dr. Maya Rao. 1995 saw the establishment of its contemporary wing – the STEM Dance Kampni, headed by the inspirational danseuse, Madhu Nataraj.
